My ears and eyes began absorbing every word, sight, and bit of minutia on the screen.  I reached for my cell phone – but I had left it at home - it would not work in the US anyway.  I saw a bank of pay phones against the wall and found myself dropping Pound coins in one, and then dialing home.  All circuits were busy, and they stayed that way through boarding time.

Setting the record straight on The Pulse.

Five years later, as Governor DeSantis issued a proclamation in remembrance of this horrific attack - the media, and many Americans still perpetuate the half truth that this was simply a hate crime against the LGBT community. It was much more than that - it was an attack against the LGBT community, and all of Western tolerance and acceptance of that community. It was an attack firmly based in the tenets of Fundamental Islam.
